This week for our 2021 series, meet Sarah Harris Gould, the Co-founder & Director of Harris Tapper, a brand creating a considered wardrobe for the modern career woman.

We sat down with Sarah at her beautiful Auckland home & spoke to her about how she stays organised, her 2021 goals, the learnings she is taking away from 2020 & more.

2021, it’s the start of something new! What are you most looking forward to about the new year?

I’m looking forward to 2021. I’m excited to see how my 16-month-old daughter, Ophelia, will grow, I’m excited to see what new projects my husband, Harry, will take on, and I’m excited to take Harris Tapper to the next level.

What learnings will you be taking away from (the crazy year that was) 2020 & into 2021? Have your experiences in 2020 changed your mindset & priorities in any way?

Plan B’s don’t scare me anymore! 2020 taught me to have a more resilient mindset in business and that there’s no such thing as a perfect path, I’ll take those learnings into 2021 and beyond.

What is one personal, professional or financial goal you will be tracking in your 2021 diary?

Personal; to take the time to go to more art galleries. It’s something I love to do but it always gets pushed aside.

Professional; to articulate our brand ethos and connect with or customers better. 2020 has taught us how incredibly important this is.

Financial; I want to better understand the stock markets and educate myself so I can make better personal investment decisions.

How many years have you been using an An Organised Life Diary?

Ever since I met Beck two years ago. I have bought them as gifts for so many people, the customisation and design is subtle and considered.

What 2021 diary did you pick & why did you choose that style?

A5 2021 Daily Diary with white monogramming.

Talk us through that feeling when you first unboxed your new AOL 2021 Diary? What did you notice?

Crisp, immaculate and so personal all at the same time. I love the handwritted note, it’s so rare and so special. You can feel the quality of the leather, the paper and the design the second you open the box.

What is your favourite feature in your 2021 diary & how will it help you stay organised?

I love that there’s a full page for each weekday.

What's one personal or professional project you have been working on or have upcoming that requires you to be organised

We have a presentation and fashion show at The Northern Club coming up which has many many moving parts, a lot people involved and a lot critical deadlines. If it wasn’t for my team and I writing everything down on paper we would be far from organised.

What are the top 3 ways you organise your life?

Lists, structure in my day/week and meditation.

What are your current desk essentials?

A water-lily candle, a glass of still water and my AOL diary!
