WORKSPACE TOUR: Bianca Gregg of Del Rainbow

Bianca Gregg is the co-founder and director of global sales and brand development agency Del Rainbow, focusing on championing brands with intention.
Having recently renovated an industrial warehouse for the new Del Rainbow office, Bianca took us inside the beautiful new space. We asked how she incorporates spirituality into the office, her must have desk accessories, top organisation tip and how she incorporates sustainability in her business.
Tell us about Del Rainbow, what it is that you do and how did it start?
We work within the global market, wholesaling out the brands under our arc to the world’s leading retailers, such as Net-A-Porter, Browns, Selfridges, Harrods, Galeries Lafayette, SAKS, Bloomingdales and many more, plus top tier premium boutiques globally. Within Del Rainbow, we also work closely with our brands and retail partners on marketing opportunities; creating together, developing ideas to target the consumer and create unique content, marketing support and drive. We work on range development, planning, costings, structure, marketing - it is a holistic approach filled with our Del Rainbow care!
Del Rainbow just turned two! Nothing makes me happier than to see this beautiful business grow and flourish. From just two people to eight now, we have an incredible team who create magic on a daily basis, creating with purpose for themselves and others. I have worked in the fashion industry within wholesale and marketing for 11 years and personally, I didn’t align with the traditional way of brand representation throughout agencies, I noticed things weren't changing and was a constant narrative. There was a lack of care and passion for the brands and the people behind them. The people behind the brands are the most important! This was and still is today, my biggest inspiration in Del Rainbow. Leading every moment with passion, authenticity and driving outcomes for others by working from your heart and soul is what encompasses the foundations of Del Rainbow, this is important as it defines who you are and truly showcases your belief in others and carrying their message to the world. I believe we are responsible for creating a feeling and within fashion we have the ability to inspire others. We can bring awareness to greater messages and it’s so important to understand that the energy we put forward and create from, is what we attract. This inspires me to always think of the greater effect. I want to help people and this is where the inspiration came from, to match this emotional drive with business expertise.
You renovated your new space before moving in, what design aspect were non-negotiable for you?
This was such an exciting process! It was quite amazing to be able to essentially have a blank space to create the look and feel of Del Rainbow and bring that to life. The space was an industrial warehouse when we moved in, we created from the ground up. The non-negotiable for us was emulating the showroom walk-through experience and having a beautiful flow from the moment you walk in; where you start from the entrance and navigate through the entire showroom, viewing each line and circulating back to the door. It seems like a simple aspect on paper, but it is a flow through experience like a gallery offering brands a unique set alone space, similar to an art gallery. A balance of masculine and feminine with the lines and layout, so the space really creates a platform for the collections to look and feel powerful. We had a glass door put in for increased natural lighting, the best feature of this is that the door makes Rainbows reflect on the ground every day - it couldn't get better! A space should always be reflective of who you are. Upstairs our team work in our office environment, it has incredible natural light throughout the day, offering a really beautiful space with magical sunsets every night - the office is our next project to transform.

What do you love most about the new space?
The light and the flow and rainbows gleaming through from the custom glass doors. Rainbows are my universe sign, so every day they validate that this space is right for us. The space is very open, which allows energy for creativity and is a double level space; each level has its own world; downstairs is the showroom and upstairs the office space where all of our desks are together and we are all connected. We have an outdoor area, which has a gorgeous view of the mountains and the sunsets, we spend the occasional Friday nights here together celebrating the wrap up of some incredible wins for our clients! I love that we have this so we can enjoy team soirees as an extension of the office.

You are quite a spiritual person, how do you incorporate this at the head office?
Such a huge part of incorporating spirituality into the office space comes back to intention and why statements. Our entire team has their ‘why’ statement (why they do what they do and what drives them with purpose) on their computers and their ‘why’ statement for each brand we work with, so that we have this front of mind everyday - it keeps us aligned by purpose and personal whys. I truly believe that this sets your intention and alignment for achieving your goals and purpose. I also have crystals all over the office, mostly black spinel, agate, clear quartz, selenite and citrine. These are also placed across my desk so I can pick up any kind needed for support each day. I have a pendulum on my desk which I use to help make decisions, I love incorporating the use of this in my process. We also have Monday morning meditations as a team, meditating as a collective is so powerful. Another incorporation of this are our Rainbow Cards in our meeting area, which during the daily meetings each team member pulls a card to provide guidance for their day. We also have a few key scents that are consistently rotating; palo santo, AYU frankincense incense and rosemary scented candles - all very powerful scents for the workspace. I love bringing this essence into the head office and it being a part of our daily ritual. I think it brings us back to our core essence and being, whilst creating professionally. I am big on combining this.

Top 3 desk essentials?
An Organised Life Weekly Diary + Pen, Chanel Rouge Coco Hydrating Lip Colour (now essential for Zoom’s) and Airpods.
Lined or plain pages?
What is one thing you are inherently disorganised with?
Email folders are not my strong point. However funnily enough, this is my organised chaos, I know absolutely where everything is.
& one thing you are great at being organised with?
My schedule! I have an amazing app called calendly that keeps everything in check and allows everyone with ‘set links’ to book within your schedule at a time available, in their own time - and it’s live, rescheduling happens with ease and self servicing on a global time zone! I highly recommend it!
What does sustainability mean to you?
Sustainability is holistic. It means responsibility, transparency and a driving force for fluidity and change. The responsibility to pioneer and create from a space of consciousness, truth and awareness of our impact. We all uphold this and have the ability to choose sustainable pathways for our future, and everyday. I feel incredibly responsible as an individual, particularly within the fashion industry which is the highest consumption industry, to ensure that each brand we represent is focused on their sustainability attributes. This means that we can have transparency with our customers and lead the way, assist in ensuring to develop their practices to reach the high standard we know is necessary and make it a non-negotiable to create from a space where sustainability is the forefront. Sustainability is not a choice, it is a necessity, I think it’s really important to acknowledge our impact and our capacity to create and foster change. We have the ability to look at sustainability as a full encompassing term; it involves environmental, social and economic impact, yet now we can truly ensure that inclusivity is amongst this. We have to be fluid with this and have the ability to adapt and update based on what we can do to progress, whilst considering the current global climate, people and circumstances. Sustainability is a key pillar in what I am focused on within Del Rainbow with the ability to work alongside brands to grow this inherently within their business and also within DR. Transparency is disruptive, it’s a tool for change and that works by illuminating problems to identity solutions. We are unafraid of asking ourselves tough questions, and we make it part of our quarterly assessments as a business to consider what can we do better.

What’s the greatest lesson you’ve learnt from your business growth?
To always trust yourself and internal guidance system; my gut instinct. This has been invaluable as it shapes every choice and pathway Del Rainbow undertakes. I think that by staying true to this, it has helped me make every choice thus far and also know what stays true to the Del Rainbow DNA, no matter what external advice. This has helped me to say yes and also to say no. I now know when to cut the cord with something that isn’t serving Del Rainbow and to do it fast and act fast on my gut instinct even if it is a risk - take the risk and do it anyway! I also believe that foundational structure is invaluable. I know who I am, what Del Rainbow is and what we are here to serve, that foundational core value doesn’t change. I believe that deep down, when you are on your right path, you will always make the right decisions. I’ve also learnt that if you aren’t thinking 2-5 years ahead, you cannot also plan the present. It has been invaluable for me to be always forward thinking, planning and building based on the overarching goals set for our business.
Who is in your support network?
The greatest team to ever exist!! We are surrounded by incredible people, all of whom I am blessed to be on this journey with. We are all creating together each day, and nothing could excite me more than creating with these incredible humans. We have an amazing team of strong, unique women who give their all to create with Del Rainbow and support me wholeheartedly. We could not have dreamt of a better team. Team work makes the dream work! The most important person in my life, and who also brings the business to life is my fiancé, Arlen Macpherson. Arlen is the Del Rainbow CFO who truly nurtures every pathway I hope to take with Del Rainbow. He believes in my vision and supports every choice. We do everything together and it feels very powerful to have the same vision and ideology behind Del Rainbow. He is so supportive and understands me, he's by my side everyday both personally and professionally. I also am truly blessed to have wonderful supportive friends who are always right by my side and here for the ride. Oh and who could forget my two British Bulldogs, Meatloaf & King. I feel like they bring love and support daily.
What are your future goals for Del Rainbow?
Currently planning to expand with permanent offices and showrooms in both NY & Paris and continuing to grow the incredible team. Also ensuring sustainability is a key attribute within all brands and we create a brighter and more responsible future, whilst encouraging the consumer to understand they can choose sustainability and not compromise on luxury. This is so key to me; we are here to make change, it is necessary. I do hope to make a difference at the end of the day, if we can achieve this within any business, that is what success looks like to me.
