Organisation Hacks From The AOL HQ - Part 1

We love a good organisation hack at the HQ, so we thought we would start sharing some of ours with you all. They're simple but very effective! If you have one you want to share with the AOL community simply email hello@anorganisedlife.com to submit it!
Organise Your Linen Cupboard
A tip to keep your linen cupboard organised, always fold your quilt covers or sheet sets and then pop them inside one of the matching pillowcases. This ensures each linen set is all together inside its own pillowcase.
Move Deadlines Forward
Make sure you are realistic with your time - this is one of the easiest ways to organise your life. Over estimate, rather than under estimate and be strict on yourself. When you're on a deadline big or small, bring it forward in your diary to give yourself a buffer incase something comes up. Stay ahead of the game.
Use Sundays For Meal Prep & Planning
Utilise your Sunday to plan for the week by writing down all your meals and snacks. If you do your weekly shopping on a Sunday this is a good time to also do all your meal prep. Chop up any ingredients or precook if needed, and portion the sizes out into airlock containers for each meal. This makes those busy weekday mornings a breeze being able to grab ready to go meals and run out the door.
TIP: Another option is to allocate 2 days of the week to prep & plan if one day is too overwhelming. For example on Sunday plan and prep for Monday-Wednesday and then Wednesday prep again for Thursday-Saturday. We love keeping Sunday as a day for eating out or ordering in.
Save Time On Laundry Day
On washing days, for items that usually hang in your wardrobe (like dresses or button up shirts), pop them on a coat hanger to dry then hang them on the line or rack - this means less wrinkles and once they're dry you can pop it straight into your wardrobe.
Create A Pack Of Car Essentials
Create an easily accessible 'essentials kit' that you can keep in the console compartment of your car. Include essentials like band-aids, a hair tie, panadol, detol, wipes, lipbalm, perfume, concealer & more. Bits & pieces that you often need quickly & sometimes can forget at home when you're in a rush. Always have a first aid kit in the car as well.
