4 months down, 8 to go - Four simple ways to live your best life this year

With twenty nineteen well and truly in full swing, it’s often around this time that we start to really think about what we want to achieve over the next 8 months. A lot can happen in a year, and it’s extremely important to have a strategy, game plan and goals set in place - allowing you to progress and ultimately live your best life this year without any regrets.
Below are four simple steps to follow when it comes to goal planning…
Find Your Purpose
Often we know our goals and dreams for the future, however we don’t know our exact purpose. It’s important to sit down and clearly clarify what you want out of your life - from identifying your core values to thinking about your skills and passions. You only live once, and creating a path where you stay true to your purpose will allow you to feel fulfilled and happy.

Allocate some time this week to thinking about what you want to achieve in your life and how you want to be remembered. Also think about your core values and what / who makes you happy. Analyse your responses and write down what your purpose is for your life in a few short and to the point sentences.
E.g My purpose in life is to live each day to the fullest and to make the most of every opportunity. I want to be remembered for being a hard working, positive and loving person who helps others to be more organised. I want to live a balanced life with love, family and stability.
Set Goals
Once you have defined your purpose, it’s important to sit down and plan your goals for the next 12 months or more.
First things first, you need to reflect on the past. What goals did you achieve, and what goals did you not achieve? Taking the time to reflect on your life gives you an opportunity to create thorough direction and focus for the future. It’s a time to celebrate the successes and workshop the areas you want to improve on. Stay positive and continue to look forward to the future.
Next, start creating your new goals. Break them down into three categories; personal, career and finance focused. Finally, write an action place that includes realistic tasks / stepping stones that you can tick off through out the year. These tasks will ultimately allow you achieve your major goal/s by the end of the year.
Manifest Success
In order to live your best life this year, you really need to believe in yourself. Having a strong vision, commitment to see your goals through to the end, and the belief you can do it (no matter what), can really be the defining difference to making your dreams a reality.
It’s all about manifesting success and visualising your future. Don’t get me wrong - you will need to work very very hard, but focusing on the positives and pushing yourself forward will pay off in the long run.
Put Yourself First
And finally, the fourth simple step you can do is to put yourself first this year. Take the time to push yourself, to do those things you have always wanted to do, and to also identify when you need a little R+R time.
