Inside The Wedding Planner Of Bec Karagiorgos

Our Inside The Wedding Planner series features newlyweds that had planned their special day with our An Organised Life x Together Journal Wedding Planner. We take a look inside the Wedding Planner of Bec Karagiorgos from Twice Blessed. We chatted to Bec about her favourite moment from the day, her must have, what she was glad she invested in & what she could have saved on.
Date of Wedding:
19.10.2019
Location:
Ceremony: Scotts Church
Reception: State Library of Victoria
Favourite memory from the day:
Getting a coffee in between our ceremony & reception with our bridal party @ Grossi Florentino.... also dancing the night away with our family and friends with our amazing Greek band!
Black or Ecru Wedding Planner:
Black- always black!
x3 favourite pages or sections of the Wedding Planner:
- Photography tips & tricks section : was great to be reminded of all the small things I'd normally forget about. We also had an engagement shoot (as suggested in the AOL planner) with our photographer prior to our wedding to get acquainted & chat through our expectations, ideas and vision for our wedding photos.
- General notes section : Sometimes I just need to brain-dump notes, especially after a big meeting with our wedding planners/venue team. I love being able to physically take notes with pen & paper, and then filter that information across to a working spreadsheet on my computer afterwards.
- Guest list & guest information: Same as above, was just great to be able to brain-dump information, notes and contact details of all of our guests on paper prior to transferring all that information to our spreadsheet (especially as my parents & my in-laws could easily add in their guests contact information)
TIPS
What were you glad you invested in?
Photography & videography. These were big ticket items, however after the day, that's really one of the only things you have to remember the day. We absolutely love our photos & wedding videos, and every time we look at them, we remember how magical and special our day was.
Something you could have saved on?
Decor... looking back, our venue was so intricate and detailed as it was (we were in one of the gallery rooms), so we probably could have pared back the decor and had the tables a touch more minimalist & chic.
Must have (this can be anything that made your day special/memorable/fun)?
Always, ALWAYS remember to bring a little snack in the wedding car for you & hubby to have in between the ceremony and reception. I packed a few protein balls for us to eat (as we had barely eaten all day). Life saver!
