How to make the most of your 2019 / 2020 Mid Year Diary

With the end of the financial year just a few short weeks away – now is the time to get organised to make 2019/2020 all that you want it to be. Our advice: review, prep, plan, do.
After lots of feedback from our amazing An Organised Life members, this year we have introduced our first Mid Year Diary that covers 15 months from May 2019 – August 2020. Perfect for those working to a financial year calendar or those who missed out on the sold-out 2019 Collection earlier in the year.
Our founder, Beck Wadworth, talks you through the functional favourites she has added to this new design and how to make the most of it so you can live an organised life.
Yearly Overview Calendars:
At the front of the diary you will find a section with tools to help you make 2019/2020 your most organised year yet. This section includes a Yearly Overview Calendar that allows you to see your year at a glance. Pencil in deadlines, travel dates, events and more. P.S. you will also find individual monthly calendars at the start of each month. TIP: Create a strategy as to how you want to use these calendars – maybe the yearly one is for travel, events and major deadlines and the Monthly Calendars are to manage your schedule or projects.
Goal Setting:
Our founder is very passionate about goal setting. Her favourite motto is Dream It, Plan It, Do It. Repeat. In the diary you will find a page with tips on how to write solid goals for the year. To start she believes it’s important to review the last 12 months so that you can then analyse what was great and what could have been improved. This gives you the base of where to set your goals for the next 12 months. You will also find pages for you to action plan: Personal, Professional and Financial. Allowing you to create stepping stone tasks that you can strive towards throughout the year – ultimately achieving your main goals at the end. Setting goals allows you to have purpose and focus. Dream big! A lot can happen in a year.
Budgeting:
A new feature in our diaries – at the front you will find budgeting pages - one for every month. Refer back to your financial goal planning page and add in your savings targets to each month. Keep track of your outgoings and incoming transactions as well as your savings progress.
My Favourite Moments:
Life can fly by and it’s important to remember the small moments that make you smile along the way. In our diaries a signature feature we have is the ‘My Favourite Moments’ section. Each month Beck suggests reflecting back and taking note of your highlights – think big and small. It could be a conversation you had with your mum, a memorable dinner date with your partner or a promotion at work. When it comes to the end of the year this is such a great section to look back on with love, a double page spread summarising your year!
The Weekly Overview:
And of course, the best way to make the most of the new 2019/2020 Mid Year diary is by utilising the week per page double page spread. A horizontal layout – the design allows you to manage your day to day schedule and deadlines and tick off your to-do list. TIP: Make sure you read our notes on how to create an epic To-do List at the front of the diary too.
Notes Pages:
And lastly – at the back of the diary you will find notes pages that are perfect for jotting down dreams, bigger to-do lists, journaling, project planning or simple note taking.
I hope you love the new Mid Year Diary and wishing you all the best for 2019/2020. Dream big! Beck x
