New Year, New You! Let's Talk About Decluttering Your Life, Getting Organised & Making More Room For The Now.

Whenever a new year rolls around, it's always important to start it off on the right foot. First thing's first, take the time to reflect back on the previous 12 months - the highs, the lows, & the things you want to change & start from there.
In such a fast paced & over saturated world of goods & information, we believe (more than ever), that decluttering & staying organised can be hugely beneficial to ensure you live a less stressful & more fulfilled life. One with balance.
Here are a few secrets that will help you declutter your life & start 2020 off on the right foot.
Step One: Declutter, declutter, declutter! Start with your home & go through each room. Decluttering isn’t about throwing away all the things, it’s about keeping what you use & absolutely love. Look around your space at home & donate everything that doesn’t serve a purpose. Be ruthless & when you finish you will feel like you are surrounded by the things that make you happy & serve a purpose. Do you really need all those dresses? Or all those magazines? Less is more. Fill your life with experiences & memories rather than un-needed extras.
Step Two: Quality over quantity. We are so heavily influenced by social media & advertising these days as consumers that we are constantly buying more 'stuff'. Use 2020 as a year when you are more aware & conscious of what you invest in, where it has come from & what you will use it for. Be conscious of the planet, you want to make sure you invest in products that serve a purpose & will last a long time. Avoid single use products.
Step Three: Single tasking. Manage your time better by doing one task at a time. Gone are the days of multi-tasking – it’s not practical and it leaves your mind scattered. Start small by single tasking in small amounts of time. Start with 15 minutes then work your way up to an hour. Utilise alarms on your phone to manage your time, & prioritise your to-do list.
Step Four: Get rid of the tech. Use Unroll.me to unsubscribe from email newsletters en masse, give the apps on your phone a spring clean by deleting any you haven’t used in the last two months, delete notifications off your phone and only check emails in the morning and afternoon.
Step Five: Get organised. The key to decluttering your life is to get organised and stay organised. Of course, we suggest utilising a 2020 diary to keep on top of your schedule, to-do lists, goals & memories. We also suggest introducing a few systems and processes that will help you stay organised. It can be as simple as labelling your pantry condiments in glass mason jars, keeping surfaces clutter free and organising your wardrobe efficiently.
