An Organised Life with Eleanor Pendleton from Gritty Pretty

I couldn't be prouder of my talented friend Eleanor Pendleton who is the founder & editor behind Gritty Pretty, Australia's first and only digital publication dedicated solely to beauty.

I visited the brand new Gritty Pretty HQ last week (honestly, when can I move in?!) and it was exactly what I expected... luxe, organised & perfectly minimal. I also had the chance to chat to Eleanor about how Gritty Pretty began, how she stays organised with all her deadlines and what her biggest piece of advice would be for like-minded entrepreneurs.

HOW IT ALL BEGAN...

Gritty Pretty was born out of my obsession with all things beauty. In 2010, I was working as a beauty editor at FAMOUS magazine. I noticed there were no beauty blogs that inspired or educated me so I decided to create my own. In December 2014, we launched Gritty Pretty Magazine - Australia's first and only digital publication dedicated solely to beauty. We just celebrated our second birthday with cover girl, Hailey Baldwin.

BIGGEST PINCH ME MOMENT...

When I was in Berlin on a press trip and received an email confirming we landed CHANEL as our first annual advertiser.

Have a point of difference. Work hard. Be patient. Stay true. Know your why.

ORGANISED TO ME MEANS...

Keeping a hard diary (I'm yet to commit to iCal, which seems ironic considering I work in digital). I'm a bit old school and love nothing more than a fresh page in my An Organised Life diary every Monday!
