A DAY IN THE LIFE OF…. Beck Wadworth, Founder of An Organised Life

As the founder of An Organised Life I’m across all areas of my business, from design and production to sales, PR and even accounting. Everyday is fast-paced and it’s essentials that I’m organised, prepared and that I always stay on time. Below is a little overview of what a day can look like…
6.30am: A few times a week, I love to get out of bed and go for a morning walk at sunrise! It’s the perfect way to clear my head and get ready for the day.
7.30am: Back home to get organised. My go-to look is a black boyfriend blazer, a casual tee and high waisted denim jeans with a white sneaker or sling back heel. Accessories wise I never leave the house without my favourite gold jewellery and my black hard coat finish Seiko Coutura watch that has beautiful gold plated accents. I’m all about looking polished and elegant.
8.00am: I head to my local coffee spot for a Latte. This is my favourite time to check my emails and access my priorities for the day. I finalise my to-do list and make sure I have my head in the game. Being the founder of An Organised Life means I’m across all areas of my business from sales and PR to design and production - being versatile is key.
9.00am: Straight to a photoshoot with that beautiful morning light - directing and also shooting in front of the camera for a designer brand. However I also love being behind the camera directing campaigns and look book shoots for An Organised Life. Preparation is key and staying on time is an absolute must.
11.00am: Into the office and after checking my emails I’m straight in to my to-do list. First up - (everyday) sending my online orders through to the warehouse to dispatch. Next, designing a new product for An Organised Life. I absolutely love the design process, no matter how time consuming it can be. Function and style are the core values I always want to think of when designing as my products are created to organise busy lives.
1.30pm: Onto Sales - speaking with some of my amazing wholesale stores about the newest collection and arranging deliveries. I also check in on how our online store is doing and see if I need to adjust any of our social media plans, activations or EDM’s. It’s important to stay on track and to keep looking forward.
3.30pm: PR + Marketing time (or sometimes accounts!) making strategies for new launches, to push current products and to plan and prep any up coming photoshoots for the brand or myself personally. This is also the time I like to sit and edit imagery, have a cup of tea and regroup!
5.30pm: I’m out the door on time today (thanks to my elegant Seiko Coutura watch) and heading straight home to freshen up and get ready for a cocktail event I’m attending on behalf of a brand I work with. I always opt for a smokey eye, usually some kind of tailored silk number and my Seiko Coutura watch stays on (and always compliments my look!)
6.00pm: I pick up my girlfriend on the way to event (I hate going alone!) and we make the most of the beautiful event we get to attend.
8.30pm: Home to catch up on the last few emails for the day and to write my to-do list for tomorrow. Words can’t express how grateful I am to be able to run my own business - pushing myself daily to be inspired, organised, on time (naturally) and motivated to do my absolute best.
