5 Easy Tips To Creating A Dreamy Bedroom

Recently I moved apartments and have had the pleasure of a much bigger space to play with. Woo!! Although finding the time to decorate each room has been a challenge! So... with the first room down, the bedroom, I thought I would do a little post on 5 easy tips to creating a dreamy bedroom! I hope you like the new pad! xx
PS: More to come as each room is finished!
1. PICK A THEME
The first step to creating a dreamy bedroom is working out what your theme & colour palette is. For me I always lean towards a monochrome bedroom with lots of texture & print. I also love to add an accent colour through my plants that gives the room a relaxing & fresh feel. The best!
TIP 1: Pinterest can be your best friend when it comes to creating a theme & colour palette. Make a board dedicated to your bedroom and add textures, tones, furniture & details you love that will inspire your space.

2. LESS IS MORE
Don't go OTT with bits & bobs. Stick to the essentials and keep your space feeling luxe & dreamy. Pick pieces that work for your space & go for quality over quantity. Negative space is your best friend when it comes to creating that 'dreamy' look. And adding textures will keep it feeling warm & cosy.

3. DRESS UP YOUR BED
Dressing up your bed is one of the easiest ways to take your bedroom to the next level. From a quilted duvet cover (mine is from Adairs) & a delicate cashmere throw to statement printed cushions & soft white linen - all these details can really layer up your bed to keep it looking fresh, relaxing & of course dreamy!
TIP 1: I alternate between this beautiful quilted grey duvet cover & a fresh white linen one depending on how I am feeling. Having x2 interchangeable covers can keep your space interesting. And having neutral tones means they always compliments the rest of the room & details.

4. ADD ARTWORK
Artwork is something that I can always rely on to add an element of interest to a space. It can really elevate your room and take it to the next level. Take the time to invest in a little something for your wall. I promise you - it will be the best thing you do.
TIP 1: If you are unable to hang pieces on your way, simply rest the framed artwork on the floor (see pic below) It still adds that perfect touch to your space.
TIP 2: Don't be afraid to swap your artwork up between rooms from time to time. Its a really easy way to re-vamp your space.

5. FINAL TOUCHES
And finally, add those personal touches that make the space 'you'. From your favourite Le Labo scent & Diptyque Candle to those finer pieces that have so much meaning.
Enjoy x
